As part of expansion plans, IMC is gearing up to set up port-based and related infrastructure projects on BOOT/BOT/BOO basis. For industrial customers, IMC offers to construct and operate liquid and dry bulk terminals under long term contracts. IMC also provides Operations and Maintenance services for liquid and dry cargo terminals.

On March 6, 2017, The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) granted authorization to IMC Limited to develop a City Gas Distribution (CGD) network in Solapur district of Maharashtra. IMC Limited is currently developing a CGD network in Solapur Geographical Area (GA) covering 14,987 square kilometers. This will ease the availability of cleaner cooking fuel i.e. PNG (Piped Natural Gas) and transportation fuel i.e. CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) to the common people besides benefiting the industrial and commercial units by ensuring uninterrupted supply of natural gas.

IMC has active plans to expand its existing storage terminals at Kakinada and Haldia ports. Future plans including the network to new location like Dighi and Tuticorin ports. These initiatives will enable customers to have multiple options and the flexibility to decide on the port through which they want to import or export their raw material and products.
